This is the Year –The year I accept the Truth: There is only One – One Power, One Love, One Mind.   I am living in Divine Love, using Divine Mind, and expressing Divine Power.

 This is the year my life reflects who I am.  My finances, my health, my work and my relationships are in Divine Right Order. 

 This is the year I realize I am who I’ve always wanted to be. 

 I move forward into 2009 with this conscious awareness.  Every day I am re-creating my life.  Every day I celebrate my Divinity.  Every day I realize how grateful I am for Life Itself as It expresses through me.

 2009 is a good year.  I declare it so, and so it is.

Have you heard about the 'Slow Food Movement'?   It's a trend to move away from fast food consciousness and into a true appreciation of what food is all about. It's about enjoying your meal in good company, being aware of where what you are eating comes from, celebrating the ethnic foods of different cultures, moving away from genetically modified seeds, and learning how to grow and cook your own. 

 When I first heard about it, I rejoiced.  This movement is a symbol to me that we are ready to stop flying through our lives at break-neck speed, slow down and appreciate all the wonders and beauty of being human.

 Perhaps we can start a "Slow Living Movement."  Nothing is so important that we need to stress ourselves out about it. 

 Oh how I love the way the Universe responds to me!!  Just as I was writing this, my e-mail program pinged, and I opened an Abraham-Hicks quote:

 "Be easy about it. Don't rush into things. Savor them more. Make more plans and be more deliberate and specific about the plans you are making, and in all you do, let your dominant intent be to find that which pleasures you as you imagine it. Let your desire for pleasure and your desire for feeling good be your only guiding light. As you seek those thoughts that feel good, you will always be in vibrational harmony with the Energy that is your Source. And under those conditions, only good can come to you -- and only good can come from you."

The word 'pleasure' jumped off the page … how long has it been that we've done something just for the pleasure of it?   Pleasure is a feeling of happiness, delight or satisfaction.  It's about recreation .. the things we do for fun and the re-creation of our selves with joy.   It's also about fulfilling someone else's desire – which brings us satisfaction.

 This year, let's live slowly and deliberately.  We can decide to let go of the "have to's" and move into the consciousness of pleasure.  For instance:  What sounds better to you?  I have to do the dishes, or It will be my pleasure to do the dishes?   I have to go to work or It's my pleasure to go to work. It really is all a matter of changing your thinking – and changing your life!

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

 I am a spark of Light through which the Universe projects Itself into my world. This Light is the Light of love, of peace, of great prosperity and health.  This Light is the substance of all things that give me pleasure.

 I now choose to slow down and allow myself to enjoy the pleasures of my life.  I let go of all that has been stressing me, and know that as I speak my word, everything comes into balance.   My body is in balance, and I feel healthy.  My finances are in balance, and I am worry free.  My relationships are in balance, and I KNOW I am both the Beloved and the Lover.  My work is in balance, and it gives me great satisfaction.

I declare I live a delightful life, filled with precious moments that I am aware of because I have decided to slow down and let Life pleasure me.

 With a grateful heart, I embody these words with ease and grace and release them into the Law of Mind.

 God is Good, and all is well in my world.  And so It is.

Last Sunday I watched “Brothers and Sisters” on television.  I can’t remember much of the show, because at one point, one of the brothers said something that kept rattling around in my mind – and here it is:

“Dreams bring responsibilities”

I started thinking about the dreams I have – ie: having books published, being debt-free, being my perfect weight, travelling the world, etc..  I thought about how long I have had some of these dreams.  I’ve done some of each of them, but not to the extent I want.  I wonder if the idea of the responsibilities involved has slowed me down. 

Dreams manifested not only bring responsibilities with them, but also change.  Taking responsibility means I have to do it myself, no one can do it for me.  I have to change something about myself to attract all that is necessary to the fulfillment of my desire.  Responsibility also means being accountable.

Responsibility seems like such a heavy word – sometimes I feel like Scarlett O’Hara – “I’ll think of that tomorrow ... after all, tomorrow is another day.”    The problem is – tomorrow never comes!

However, if I look at this from a metaphysical point of view – responsibility means my ability to respond.  I firmly believe that the dreams we have are Divine Ideas wanting to come into manifestation. (I was going to add “by means of us” however, you have probably experienced, as I have, having a dream, yet procrastinating, and then seeing it manifest through someone else.)  I now believe Dreams will manifest themselves through who ever is willing to respond to them.   In this case, taking responsibility is responding to the Divine Idea with Yes.  Once we say YES – it moves out of the realm of wishing and hoping into the arena of intention.  The intention then activates the Law of Attraction, which uses our imagination, our beliefs and thoughts to bring it into form.

Yes, dreams bring responsibilities – how are you responding to yours?

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

Life lies open everywhere around and within me.  It’s giving nature is infinitely intelligent and unconditionally loving.  My beliefs open my mind, my heart and my arms to the abundance of the Universe.  My mind is abundantly filled with Divine Ideas.  My heart is abundantly filled with Divine Love.  My Life is a delightful expression of the One Life, and this is good.

Every where I turn, in every arena of my life, is Divine Potential.  I now choose to respond to those Divine Ideas that keep returning.  I am open and willing to be the vehicle for these Ideas to be made manifest by means of me.  I know as I say YES, the whole Universe responds.  I relax and trust because I know the responsibility for setting the Law in motion is mine, and the responsibility for making It work is inherent in the Law.    

Gratefully I rejoice in being one who knows this Truth, and let go and let The Divine do It’s perfect work.  And so It is. 

A few days ago, a friend who had been teaching in Asia called me, and we started talking about the fact that in just a few days, the United States will have a new president.  She told me everywhere she went, when people discovered she was American, all they wanted to do was talk about was Barak Obama. She said the mention of his name seemed to invoke hope and a sense of everything being right with the world again.

How exciting this is!   Yet … on the other hand, there is still so much rancor when George Bush’s name is mentioned.  This has got to be healed.  How can we move into this new era of hope and make the world right when we refuse to let go of the old?  My heart goes out to him. He leaves the Presidency vilified and considered a failure.  All that we blame him for has not been entirely his fault.  We seem to forget that a President is not a King.  They cannot make decisions on their own.  They can veto something, but then it goes back to congress and their veto can be overturned.   They can put something forward, but it has to be passed by congress.  In Truth, the leader of any country is the outpicturing of the collective consciousness of its citizens.

The Master Teacher Jesus said you can’t put new wine into old wineskins.  This weekend is the perfect opportunity for all of us to do the forgiveness work necessary to create a better foundation to the new consciousness we are all so excited about.   If you are thinking, “I’m not American, I don’t have to do this work,”  look into your heart – how do you feel about George Bush or what’s happening in our world?   If there is sarcasm, a sense of betrayal, anger or resentment, do your forgiveness work.   We are Global Citizens, and every country is our country.  All people are our family. 

Billions of people are looking at January 20 as a gateway to new life being breathed into our world.  You who consider yourselves to be conscious, do your forgiveness work before that date!  Do it for yourself, and your human family.  Together we are awakening humanity to its spiritual magnificence.

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

Gratefully I celebrate the powerful presence of Life within me.  I look around my world and see It everywhere. It is awakening our souls, nurturing our spirits, clearing our minds and purifying our hearts.  This presence within and around me is The Divine.  All powerful, all knowing, everywhere present. 

I acknowledge that together we are opening to a new way of being. No longer to we blame and shame.  No longer to we hold anything against another.  We are ready to be lovingkindness in action, peace personified, Love made manifest.

I personally commit myself to the possibilities of this time, knowing it is Divine Time, and I declare that only the highest good and greatest joy for all is at hand.   I pledge myself to my human family to live the very best life, to think on good things, to celebrate Life in all its forms.  I promise to honour and respect The Divine in everyone and every thing.

Gratefully I release these words, knowing Divine Mind is assisting me in attaining and maintaining the consciousness I have declared.  And so It is. 

In listening to President Obama last Tuesday, I once again remembered how much I love words.   President Obama used his words to focus attention, share his passions and empower others to join him.   I felt like a better person when his speech was over.  I felt like the possibilities were endless.

This gave me ideas for the use of words in our spiritual life:

Focus your words in your Spiritual Mind Treatments.  Be clear as to the consciousness you want to embody.  Speak with expectation.  Use your words to create images, feelings and movement in this wonderful field of infinite possibilities we live in.     

Use words that are as believable as possible. Sometimes we try to use other people’s words and they don’t feel quite right.  Our subjective mind responds to how we speak and think in our daily life. Work with your Spiritual Mind Treatments and affirmations until you can feel them in your body.  When we are speaking authentically, our passion shines through our words, and not only are we empowered, but the people around us are as well.

Use statements that are radical – for instance, start them with “Regardless of appearances…”   

“Regardless of appearances, money flows into my life whether I am working, sleeping or playing.”   

“Regardless of appearances, my body is healing itself with ease.”

“Regardless of appearances, my life is filled with love.”

Use your words to bless.   We have so much to be grateful for.  Don’t rush through that 4^th Step of Treatment.  Be consciously grateful. 

These are also good ideas for our daily conversations.  Use your words to focus attention on the good, share your passions and empower others.  Say thank you a lot!  Speak words of appreciation at least 3x’s a day.  Share your love.    Whatever we bless increases.

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

There is a Divine Presence that is the Universe Itself.  It is the Source and substance of all things, seen and unseen, including me.  It is where I am, and who I am. 

I now speak my word, recognizing the Power behind it.  I use it only for good.  I now declare that any sense of stress in my world or in the worlds of the people I know is now released and replaced with Love.  Love is the greatest healing agent there is.  I see my body bathed in Divine Love with all the cells responding to Love with joy.  I see my financial life blessed by my awareness that everything I am grateful for increases. I am grateful for knowing my Source and am open to receive all of Love’s blessings.  I feel my relationships blessed by my conscious awareness that there is only God here.  All of my relationships are now Spirit to Spirit, and they are good.  I know my work life is blessed by my willingness to be of service to my world.  My mind and hands are the tools of the Divine, and I do good work.

I am so blessed.  I am grateful to be able to recognize my blessings. I am grateful to be able to do the work I do in Mind.  I am grateful to have the power of the Universe revealed by means of me.  I know that as I speak these words into the Law of Mind for myself, all who read them take them as their own and are blessed.

God is good, and all is well in my world.  And so it is.

This morning while walking the dog, I stopped to talk to a woman sitting on a bench. She kept saying how cold she was.  As I walked away I noticed another bench close by which was directly in the sun, and turned back to her.  “Hey,” I said, “it’s warmer over here.”  She nodded, and replied “Thanks, but I’m already settled here.”

Not long after I had a phone call from a client during which I heard myself saying “You’re really arguing for your limitations!”   

I then picked up the Science of Mind and opened it randomly for an “Ernest Fix” … and what did I see, but on page 411 ..”We can sit in the shade or move into the sunshine.” 

Ok, Universe, I got the message!  I asked myself “Where am I so settled in my stuff that I won’t move into the Light!?!  And how much do I argue for my limitations?!?

These are the times for all of us to ask ourselves these questions.  Regardless of what’s happening we have a choice.  The awareness of these Principles gives us the tools to move beyond the chaos.  Everywhere we are – God is – God in us, knows what It wants as us, and I now choose to let go of my arguments, stand in the Light and know – I absolutely know - God can be trusted!

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

There is one Mind, One Intelligence that effortlessly creates all there is out of Itself.  It is the Source and Substance of all things, seen and unseen.  As a unique aspect of this One Mind, I am all that It is.

I am ready and willing to step into the Light and stay there.  I remain on purpose with the Intelligence of the Universe. I no longer settle for what does not make me happy.  I accept my responsibility in creating a world that works for everyone by using the Principles I have learned.  As I choose to express more Good in my life I am blessed and bless everyone in my presence. 

I rejoice in being able to see Wholeness – Holiness – everywhere I am.  I am so grateful to be living in the Light.   I am grateful to have the courage to move into the Light whenever I find myself in the shadows.  I release these words into the Law of Mind, knowing they are done, and so it is.
